Continued Protestant Confusion

There is still so much false information about Catholicism.  There was a post online about the 100 years of Fatima, and it was followed by such pure hatred for Catholics by so called "Christians", that even atheists were going, "Whoa, Whoa, Whoa,".

Here are a few misconceptions I thought I would touch on again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Catholics Worship Mary - That is covered HERE

but I wanted to give some more details because of things brought up in that post I saw.

Many people say Mary was a sinner who was merely used as a vessel to bring God the son into the world. She's not important. She's just another sister in Christ. And that she went on to have children after Christ was born and there is nothing "holy" about her. She is not our spiritual "mother".

This is ridiculous and heretical for many reasons.

A. Do you really think the Father would let his only begotten Son be born of a sinner? Does that make sense to anyone? Someone so holy being born of someone sinful?

The angel Gabriel comes to Mary and says "Hail Full of Grace! The Lord is with You." then says "Do not be afraid, you have found Favor with God." Mary was troubled by the greeting when the angel said this. To be "Full of Grace" denotes exceptional grace and holiness. Those greetings are not given lightly, so it was surprising to hear it, most of all being said by an angel of God!

This was a plan of God's, she was to be the Mother of God the Son, Jesus Christ, and he could not enter the world in the womb of a sinner. So she was special, she was holy, and this was more than likely due to God blessing her upon her conception by freeing her of original sin before her birth so that she would be ready to bare our Lord.

Christ loved Mary. She wasn't merely his vessel... she was his protector, she was his caretaker. Christ came into this world as a baby. She carried him in her womb, she labored to give birth to him, she protected him, she loved him... and he loved her. She was his mother by blood, by birth, by love.

During the wedding of Cana, Jesus told Mary when she said they had no more wine, "What concern of it is mine, my time has not yet come." In the end, however, he acquiesced to his mother and performed the first miracle by turning water into wine. Christ started to say, "no... I can't do that. I can't show who I am yet." but he could not deny his mother and performed the miracle.

B. Mary was Christ's mother, and he loved her. When he was on the cross, he looked down and saw the mother whom he loved. He not only asked one of his beloved disciples to take her into his home... he basically told that disciple to look at her as his own mother. "Woman, behold your son. Son, behold your mother." When Christ asked his beloved disciple to take his mother as his own mother, We Catholics believe this was a message that Mary is the spiritual mother of all who follow Christ, like that disciple.

So his thoughts of her, even while in agony, were of love. To see her disrespected by calling her a sinner and making it seem as if she were nothing more than a baby incubator, it must hurt his heart to see that commandment of "honor thy mother" being openly broken by those who call themselves his followers.

C. The term "Brother" was used very loosely (as was sister).  it was often a term used among close friends, and usually close family (aside from actual siblings, it was also used as a term for 1st cousins). That is why they often say "Jesus, brother of James and Judas and Simon"... they never say, Mary, the Mother of Jesus and Judas and Simon. They always say "Jesus, Brother of" or "Judas Brother of Jesus" etc.

St. Jude the Apostle was oft called "Judas Brother of Jesus" (St Jude is not to be confused with Judas the betrayer) most theologians believe he was the cousin of Jesus, son of Mary's sister (Christ's aunt). Jude's sibling was James. That would make James the cousin of Jesus as well. So when they say "Jesus, brother of James and Judas" they are speaking in a brethren sort of way and not an actual sibling way. They are first cousins.

To wrap up #1... Mary was not a vessel. She was for all intents and purposes, Christ's MOTHER, and Christ loved her. The bible demands that we HONOR our parents, so to say she was only a container to hold Jesus for 9 months... it greatly insults our Savior who loves her, and our Father who favored her and hand picked her to bare Christ. It is faulty thinking to believe God would allow Jesus to be born of a sinner, and no... Just the term "brothers" does not mean Mary did not remain a virgin, as the term "brother/sister" was often used to describe his followers and other family relations such as cousins.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

2. Catholics Worship Saints - That is Covered HERE

There truly isn't more to say about that other than what was already covered, except for... if you think asking saints to intercede for us, and pray for us is heretical (many stating there is no intercessor. We must go straight to God) then you are all heretics. It is more often the very protestants who cast judgement about a Catholic's relationships with our saints, that are posting "prayer circles" and asking for prayers for themselves, family, friends, loved ones. You are basically asking your friends on Facebook or twitter or at church... to INTERCEDE ON YOUR BEHALF and PRAY FOR YOU. It's the same thing Catholics do with saints. We ask them to pray for us. So you're heretics as well by your own definition.

The same goes for Angels. We do not worship angels. We love them because they love us and protect us and carry our prayers to God. But we do not worship them, nor do they desire worship.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

3. Catholics Worship Statues - That is covered HERE

This is another one where I pretty much said all there is to say on the subject except to add a few things. People are often confused by icons and veneration of relics of saints (usually bones) or Christ himself. (Relics of the True Cross exist)

A. God was not talking about Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, God was not talking about the relics of the True Cross, God was not talking about the Crucifix or artistic renderings of Him or His Son or the Saints. He was not talking about Relics of those who were martyred in his name, or died saints in Christ.

God was talking about worshiping false gods. (The golden calf, pagan gods, mythological creatures, worshiping things of this world with no focus on the Holy Trinity) this was about holding something above God other than God. Catholics do not do this.

Tell me, if we have a statue depicting Christ... how is it worshiping a false god? It is a depiction of CHRIST - God the Son! And we do not worship the statues. As we look at the statue, it is God that is in our hearts. It's just a visual aid more or less.

B. I am taking this from another website for an Orthodox faith, who explains this better than I can when it comes to venerating relics of saints, Christian icons.

For here, you see, is where we come across the crucial reason for having icons in the first place. In the image we see the Prototype. An icon of Christ reveals to us Christ. And through Him, He taught us, we also glimpse the Father. Icons become for us, windows to heaven, revealing the glory of God. The fact is, icons help to protect us from idolatry! Thus, we bow before the icon of Christ, seeing through it, Him and His Father.

This veneration, by the way, is accompanied by rich scriptural precedent. Saint John of Damascus reminds us that:  Joshua, the son of Nun, and Daniel bowed in veneration before an angel of God, but they did not adore him” They showed respect and honor where respect and honor was due... that is not the same as worship or adoration meant only for God.

Throughout the ages of the Church, sensible believers have seen that following godly men and women who have gone before, is a help in personal growth toward the image and likeness of God. When Orthodox Christians (And Catholics) honor an icon of one of the saints by bowing before it, kissing it, and saying a prayer before it, they are intent upon the godly example of that saint and upon following that example. It is not about worship, it is about respect, and following the example that leads us closer to God.

So if you feel what the Catholics do is idolatry... then you better remove any cross, any photo of Christ, stop wearing necklaces with angels or the cross on it, because those are also icons by your own definition.
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Christ founded his church. The church went on as a whole for many centuries. In the earliest times of Christianity, As early as the late 1st into the 2nd century... the term "Catholic" was actually used by Christians to mean "Christians as a whole" (As that is the definition of the word Catholic... "as a whole") and it continued on to when Constantine the Great ended the Roman persecution of the Christian faith and called the First Counsel of Nicaea.

From there, the East-West schism occurred. We believe the Catholic faith maintained it's path while the Eastern Orthodox broke away. So we feel we're still older than the Orthodox because we didn't leave the path originally set by the earliest Christians.

That said, the Orthodox church is like the Catholic faith in many ways... and they receive the same judgmental treatment by sanctimonious protestants that Catholics face.

protestants are newer religions. The great schism that created Eastern Orthodox and the officially titled Roman Catholic happened in 1058. They were the first to divide Christians into separate religions. The rest were founded centuries later, breaking away from the Roman Catholic faith.

Lutherans - 1483
Puritans - 1560
Baptists - 1638
Mormons - 1820s

Protestant religions are more modern than the Catholic church. They were not founded off the branches of the faith started by Christ and his apostles, they were founded by those abandoning the Catholic faith, Many were made for political reasons, and for making religion more convenient to man and their ideologies.

Despite protestants being more modern, they have been beaten over the head and indoctrinated over the centuries to have a deep seeded hatred for Catholicism (Even more-so than their dislike of the Eastern Orthodox religion) by being perpetually lied to about what Catholicism is all about.

We can scream till we're blue in the faces that we do not worship Mary, we do not worship Saints, we do not idolize statues, we do not hold anyone above the Holy Trinity... but they have been so brainwashed by hate - that they refuse to see it. They don't even see their judgmental superiority as hate, or judgement. (yet they are the first to say "Thou shalt not judge")

They even go so far as to accuse Catholics of not being Christians. When again, the term Catholic comes from the earliest Christians, a word that means "as a whole" meaning, Christians universally as a whole in it's earliest definition of the word.

They are so prideful in their own beliefs that they are superior to all others, they forget the term Christian is founded on the word CHRIST. It is the description of those who follow Christ and believe he is the Savior, the Truth and the Light, the only Way to the Father in Heaven. That he is God the Son, That he is united as one God in the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit).

That is EXACTLY what Catholics believe. WE ARE CHRISTIANS. And we have been following the teachings of Christ since before Martin Luther was in diapers.

All churches have scandals. All churches can be harmed by apostasy and politics. But the word of God is unchangeable, and we shall overcome even the apostasy of Vatican II, because Jesus promised that, though forces may try to break the church... evil will never overcome.

We know that one day, ALL Christians will be Catholic again as defined by the earliest use of the word... (Christians "AS A WHOLE")

3rd secret of Fatima

I've had a few people ask if I could give the gist of something I talked about in a previous post on Fatima, because they are unable to access the documentary I linked because of bandwidth issues on their end. (it's over 2 hours long, so some servers may not be able to handle it, especially if you're on your phone using data.)

Basically, here's the general idea.

We all know about Mary appearing to the three children - Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco. We Traditional Catholics with whole hearts believe in these little visionaries.

They lived in a time when Catholics were being persecuted in Portugal, churches were being shut down. These three children were illiterate, they couldn't read or write, and they weren't raised in the church as it was not easy for them to attend church because of the government. Being such little children, (10, 9 and 7) they probably didn't get a full education in Catholic theology at the time. Yet these little children had such a spiritual knowledge, and were so full of love for God and Mother Mary, it could be nothing short of a miracle.

Mary also explained things about Russia, things they didn't understand. They thought Russia was the name of a girl at first. So it wasn't like the children made something up about current events. These were events that had not yet come to pass about things they didn't understand.

They told some of what Mary had told them, such as the two little saints Jacinta and Francisco would soon go to heaven... and Mary was proven to be true to her word. Complications from influenza would claim the two little children 10 months apart from each other at ages 10 and then 9.

So we believe in the vision of Fatima. We believe whole heartedly in these little visionaries. But here is where it gets a little off.

At one point in the late 50's, Lucia became ill with the same influenza that claimed her cousins in 1919 and 1920, and she gave the third secret in writing saying clearly, it must be released upon her death, or in 1960. Which ever came first. Some believe this to mean, she thought she was nearing her death. Things had come to pass as the Blessed Mother said. The young children left her alone, and she lived as sole keeper of the secrets over 30 years after the passing of Jacinta in 1920. Once she wrote down the secret, her lonely life as sole survivor was now over, and she could go to heaven as Mother Mary promised. When asked why she thought they should wait, she said, "In 1960 it would become clear". Then they believe she died.

In 1960 when Vatican II just happened to be coming to be... and they announced they would NOT release the secret of Fatima given by Lucia. This was completely contradictory to what Lucia desired, so there were people asking questions.

Then came "Vatican II" Lucia who started touting the Vatican II Papacy's argument. "It was never meant to be released". She said one time. Completely contradictory to what she stated when she wrote it in the first place. (It must be made known in 1960 or upon my death, whichever came first.)

How did an imposter so easily fake people out? Because back in that day, Carmelite nuns were not easily visible. they lived out of the public eye. Lucia's own family would rarely see her. And since the internet did not exist, you couldn't pull up and compare photos like we can do now. in Fact, her family probably had so few photos of her, especially after she entered the convent, it would be easy to not recognize her after years apart. Here are a few photos. Click on them to enlarge them if you can not read the captions.

 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That woman is not the same as Lucia, unless Lucia had plastic surgery and dental work.

So now we have a woman who doesn't even resemble herself physically... and is denouncing the release of the secret that she once insisted MUST be released in 1960 or upon her death, whichever came first.

There is also, in the documentary, evidence laid out by handwriting experts that show the two Lucia's had different ways of writing.

Then there is what was finally released about the third secret. It describes a vision where a pope is martyred on a mountain of martyrs. (Killed by guns and arrows by a band of soldiers). The Vatican interpreted this as the assassination attempt of Pope John Paul II which they said brought the prophecy to a conclusion. But there is a problem.

Lucia said that it would be clear come 1960. What would be made clear in 1960 about a 1981 assassination attempt? There was another concerning thing, Mary always explained the visions the children had so they'd understand. Not a single word from the Mother accompanies this secret. Could it be that even those who faked this secret were afraid that putting words into the Blessed Mother's mouth was one step too far?

Then, the most glaring error, the pope was NOT martyred by a band of soldiers. JPII was wounded by a lone gun man, and there was no mountain of martyrs. He was the only one attacked. Things our Mother Mary said to the children were always truthful, accurate, and came to pass without fail. Either we have to say she was wrong about how this vision would end, or this vision is a fake.

So it is believed by those who do not trust Vatican II, that the real secret was about a great apostasy coming to the church, which could be interpreted as Vatican II itself being the apostasy  (Thus why Lucia said it would become clear in 1960 which is when Vatican II was enacted). And because they found it would embarrass the church... they have gone to great lengths to keep it from ever being released.

And you only have to look at what has been happening in modern times that has come from Vatican II. We'll talk about that in future blogs. But let me cover a few.

1. Liturgical changes. The Liturgy has become more watered down.
2. The Removal of the exorcism prayer of St. Michael the Archangel... still used by Traditional Catholics and exorcists.
3. The removal of the tabernacle from the center of the church and replaced with the throne of man.
4. in 2004 a Hindu ceremony was allowed to be performed a the Shrine of Fatima, the Bishop even allowing himself to be draped in Hindu robes embroidered with pagan mythological passages
5. Many modern priests deny the existence of demons claiming they are personal evils and not actual entities.
6. There is a call to not convert other religions as all gods lead to the same God, despite Christ himself saying NO ONE will go to the Father BUT THROUGH HIM. The church's stance is in contradiction to what Christ said himself.
7. Sin is being accepted. There is a call to focus on social agendas such as Global warming over abortions, homosexuality and the breakdown of the sanctity of marriage.
8. (This is important) No Pope in Vatican II has consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart. Pope JPII consecrated the world, but neglected to mention Russia specifically. He did not do as the Lady asked, thus the consecration has not come to be, and Our Lady said there would come a time when they would fulfill her desire, but it would come too late. The church has denied our Lady's request. It is said, Pope JPII was forced to not mention Russia specifically. The Church stopped him from doing so, which is why he consecrated the world, rather than do as Mary requested.

This is just a short list. Could that be the true secret? And if it is, what other part of the secret do we not know?

Mary's messages have always come to pass. One day, that which is hidden will come to the light. If we are wrong, God forgive us our folly... But even as a child I always found that two plus two equaled six in the modern church... much of what I learned through Catholic School, then CCD, never seemed to add up to what the bible itself said. When I learned about Traditional Catholics who followed the old traditions of the Church and learned about what the church was prior to Vatican II... It seemed to make more sense to me.

May God open our eyes to the message he sent with our Blessed Mother, that we may defend His church.

A Reflection on Fatima

The statue in the photo above, is the replica of the statue of Fatima, made from the same wood as the Fatima statue... the wood harvested from the very area of Fatima where the blessed mother appeared to the little saints of Fatima, Lucia - Jacinta - Francisco.

This statue is what we call "the Miracle Statue".

I want to share a letter we found of my late Grandmother's. Written over 40 years ago, only discovered this year, a week before today, this 100th anniversary of Fatima. In this letter my grandmother recounts a story she has told us many times.

The replica statue of Fatima, was traveling to our church, my grandmother had a rosary that was severely tangled. The tangles so tight, no one could undo them, and feared if they tried more, the rosary would break. It was a special rosary to her and she did not want to cast it aside. So she kept it in her purse, but rarely used it.

On the day of the pilgrim statue visiting, my grandmother pulled this rosary out for the first time in a while, said a few prayers, then went up to this special statue made from the wood of the place our Blessed Mother appeared to the Fatima children, rosary in hand, and touched the statue with it. Then she went back to her seat.

When she went to put the Rosary away, it slipped from all of its knots, every last tangle, and was once again perfect. The rosary never knotted again, even when my uncle tried to get it to knot out of curiosity. The Rosary, which so easily tangled before, would never take a another knot. It would always slip loose.

The rosary was passed around to various family members in times of need or poor health with true faith in God knowing that nothing was beyond him, and that our Mother Mary was our greatest intercessor on our behalf.

In the letter, she mentions St. Bernadette. This was an oversight (mistake) on her part, we believe. From as far back as I can remember, she always recounted this as the Fatima statue. And she related this story to me many, many, many, many, many times. I remember she even told me the story not long before she passed away.

Just to be sure, I asked my mother today (this happened before I was born), and my mother said my grandmother always told her it was the Fatima statue, and even described the statue in detail, to be exactly as this statue appears, down to her bare feet. So we think she wrote a bit absentmindedly in a rush to explain the rosary when loaning it to a cousin who was in need.

I, myself, have called St. Bernadette "the visionary of Fatima" many times when not really thinking. She is as famous for Lourdes as the children are for Fatima, so it's an easy mistake to make if you're not thinking.

I have also checked into it, and I can not find records of a Lourdes statue making a pilgrimage to her church around this time.

So in the letter she made a mistake... the statue she writes of, where her small miracle occurred, was in fact the Fatima statue, which made it's pilgrimage back to the church where she once saw it, and for the first time, I got to see this miracle statue with my own eyes, and it was exactly as she always described it.

Pray for me little saints of Fatima, Pray for all of us poor sinners who long for the relationship with God that you had.

I have made some corrections and redactions to the letter for privacy reasons. Otherwise, this is the letter my grandmother quickly wrote to a cousin (a nun) who wanted to borrow the miracle rosary.

Glorious Day - 100th Anniversary of Fatima

A call to prayer all ye who believe in God. Hold fast your Rosaries and pray for God's love and mercy.

Today Jacinta and Francisco Marto have been made saints.

The two little visionaries were witness to the apparition of our Blessed Mother on this day, 100 years ago, along with their cousin Lucia Dos Santos.

From now until October, we are reminded to pray the rosary more fervently every day, paying special attention to the 13th of each month leading to the anniversary of the miracle of the sun which occurred October 13th of 1917.

Little Jacinta and Young Francisco, pray for us holy little saints of Fatima, that our eyes may be opened and our hearts softened to our Father in heaven. May we be able to discern the secrets our Blessed Mother entrusted to you, and may we find the bravery you showed in your childhood when you offered your sufferings to God in reparation of sinners and a conversion back to his most Holy Sacred Heart.

On this day in 1917, the Blessed Mother Mary appeared to three young children in Fatima, Jacinta, her brother Francisco and their cousin Lucia. These apparitions would occur every 13th of each month at the exact time, until the miracle of the sun which occurred on October 13th of 1917.

They were entrusted with important secrets directly from God, and were asked if they were willing to suffer for the conversion of souls and reparation of sins that offended God most Holy. They willingly agreed, for even so young, their hearts were full of love for God.

Mother Mary told Jacinta and Francisco that they would not be long for the world, they would soon enter heaven.

Francisco died in 1919 at the age of 10, his sister would pass at the age of 9, 10 months later, just as the Holy Mother said. They were not afraid for they knew their sufferings were for the good of God's people, and that they would be in heaven after their sufferings were done.

The two were canonized on this day, May 13th 2017... 100 years after the first apparition of Mary appeared to them.

Blessed Mother Mary, pray for us poor sinners

Little Saints of Fatima, Pray for us

100 Years of Fatima

It's a Joyous occasion in deed. We are coming on the 100th anniversary of when God sent Mary to three innocent children who would be willing and open to hear God's messages and warnings.

This event was not only investigated thoroughly by the church and proven to be true in the eyes of the church, but over 70,000 witnessed the miracle of the sun which occurred in October of 1917. (To learn about the apparitions of Mary, read my blog HERE and Part 2 HERE if you haven't already.)

The apparitions first happened May 13th, 1917 by three children, Lucia with her two cousins Francisco and Jacinta. (ages 10, 9 an 7). On May 13th of 2017, we will not only mark the 100th anniversary of Fatima... but Francisco and Jacinta will be canonized (officially recognized as saints by the Catholic Church), since the church has been able to agree that miracles attested to the intercessions of the young visionaries from heaven, were true.

Lucia has not yet been canonized, but Pope Benedict waved the 5 year waiting period required by ecclesiastical law to start her beautification process.

About the Fatima apparitions:

Our blessed mother appeared the three visionaries with messages from God. She was a beautiful woman with a kind but sad smile. She was dressed in white and had a rosary hanging from her arm, her hands folded in prayer.

When asked where she came from by Lucia, the woman replied "I come from heaven" and asked if they would offer themselves to God and accept sufferings in reparation for the numberless sins which offend him, and if they would suffer if it would convert souls back to God. Lucia replied yes.

When the children brought the events that happened back to their family, they were not believed. Lucia's mother beat her with a broomstick for lying out of fear of what the police may do to her as the government were prosecuting those of faith who didn't bow to them. She was also afraid this lie was a mortal sin. The children promised they would accept any suffering to help convert people back to God, so they prayed and fasted despite the hardships they faced by those who did not believe them.

Every month on the same day, the beautiful woman would appear to the children at the same time. She gave the children three secrets that were to be released to the Vatican at specific times. Curiosity got the best of even those who did not believe the children, and each time they went to meet the Lady, more and more people followed them. While they could not see the Blessed Mother as her message were for the children, they saw a cloud disappear in the direction the children were speaking when the visitation ended. When Lucia's mother witnessed this, she finally believed and stopped beating Lucia for lying.

During one of the visits, the Blessed Mother told the children something that would shake their families. Jacinta and Francisco would not live much longer. Both were destined for heaven very soon.

In October of 1917, upon the children announcing that there would be a miracle that would occur so all could believe, 70,000 people came to the place they said it would happen. There was a heavy rainstorm that had been going on all day. At the exact time promised, the clouds cleared and the sun was seen spinning in the sky, many beautiful colors coming from it. One writer who witnessed the event described the sun as 'dancing'.

Suddenly, it started to fall from the sky, then zig-zagged back into place when people fell to their knees in fear and awe. While some did not witness these events, they did say that the thick, wet mud became instantly dry, as did their rain soaked clothing.

In April of 1919 young Francisco passed away at the young age of 11. Jacinta would follow her brother a year later. Both suffered greatly, but accepted the sufferings as the blessed Mother asked, for the conversion of souls back to God, and as reparation for the sins that made their Lord sorrowful.

It came to pass as Mary said, when she told the children that Francisco and Jacinta would not be long for the world. They accepted their fate with faith and praise for God, even at so young an age. The undertaker who assisted in Jacinta's burial testified that in all his years, he had never seen anything like the child. Her cheeks were still rosy and her lips colorful. There was a pleasant, flowery aroma that came from the body, he couldn't explain, especially considering she had passed 3 days prior.

In 1935, her body was exhumed so it could be placed in a special grave that was set up for her and her brother. When they opened her casket, she was found to be perfectly incorrupt. She was exhumed again in 1951,31 years after her passing. Her body was still incorrupt.

In later years after the passing of the two visionaries, A lay member of the Franciscan order suffered full body paralysis for over 20 years. for over a decade she prayed for the intercessions of the young visionaries. Then after her usual prayers and intercession requests one night in 1987, she heard a voice telling her "Sit up, you are able to." and she regained use of her upper body. 2 years later the same voice told her to walk, and she was healed.

Her miraculous ability to walk was tested by many doctors including doctors appointed by the Vatican. It defied medical explanation and was thus approved by the church as a miracle. This miracle lifted the main obstacle that held up the children's bid for official sainthood.

Lucia, the third visionary who became a nun when she reached adulthood, allegedly died at the age of 96 in 2005. (I say allegedly, which I will explain in a bit.)

There were three secrets that the Blessed Mother gave the children that needed to come out in specified times.

The first secret was revealed in the 40's. It was a vision of hell. Lucia stated that the vision was so horrible that if the Lady hadn't promised to take them to heaven, they'd have died from terror. After seeing hell, the lady asked the children to consecrate devotion to her miraculous heart.

The second secret was said to be about the consecration of Russia back to God. That if Russia didn't turn to her immaculate heart, the errors of sin would continue to corrupt and spread. From the end of the first world war, there would be a greater, more devastating war as well as the spread of communism.

Lucia's plea to the Pope went unheeded. At the time, the pope received alleged visions, prophecies and revelations, most of which were usually delusions. Because Russia remained unconsecrated to her sacred heart, as the Blessed Mother predicted, Word War II occurred.

The third secret is far more controversial. Something never truly seemed right about it, nor about Lucia. Vatican II had started to overcome the church, and things began to change drastically. Those of us who practice traditional Catholicism (Pre Vatican II), see some of the dangers of the "new thinking" of the church and the Novus Ordo (new order) mass.

It has led many to believe that Vatican II hid the true 3rd secret. It is believed the true secret was about a great apostasy coming to the church. Fearing it would humiliate the church and stop the changes... they faked the third secret decades after it was suppose to be released. It is also believed by many that the real Lucia passed in the late 50s and was replaced by an imposter who the 2nd Vatican Counsel used to explain why they weren't releasing the 3rd secret as Lucia originally demanded. (Lucia became ill with the same influenza that claimed both of her cousins. She wrote the secret down believing her death was coming soon, stating it MUST be revealed in 1960 or upon her death, whichever came first.)

The Lucia most of us grew up knowing didn't even resemble the real Lucia. She looked the same from childhood to adulthood, then suddenly she looked unrecognizable.

This documentary was very eye opening for me, as someone who originally accepted the third secret that was eventually released after the attempted murder of Pope John Paul II. The documentary is 2 hours long, but well worth the watch. If nothing else, it will show you a bit of why many of us Traditional Catholics reject the 2nd Vatican Counsel.

In the video they walk you through the reasons they believe the real secret has been hidden, and why they believe Sister Lucia was replaced by a fake. They show photos that prove their cause as well as give a handwriting analysis of the two Lucia(s).

On this 100th anniversary, let us pray that our minds and hearts are open to the true third secret, and pray for our Church and that one day we will no longer be divided.

- I say Amen -
